Distillation

In this passage the narrator speaks negatively of scientists and how they do their work and what they do to make money compared to the rest of the working class. The author delivers his message by using strong negative language using words and phrases like “miserable wretches” and “nasty pursuit”, they also uses strong images, and uses hyperboles that go into detail on what scientist do to these animals. The narrator talks about things scientist do expand their knowledge such as destroying life and things in nature. The audience is being informed about what scientist do to the things around them which the narrator finds negative and hopes to influence their readers into thinking that scientist destroy everything around them to learn more but in a barbaric way.
