Synecdoche (Soccer Field)

     Sometimes it's artificial turf and sometimes it's freshly cut grass. Either way the beautiful game of soccer is played across its entirety. It stretches 120 yards long and 80 yards wide with a large white net at each end. Boys and girls run up and down it passing a ball around trying to put it in the back of a net. Tears flow down rosey red cheeks after a tough loss. Smiles go from ear to ear after a glorious win, Everyone works their hardest to go home victorious. The unlucky ones role around on the ground in agonizing pain while they wait for their teammates to carry them over to the cold hard bench. If you don't go home with a turf burn or a little dirt on your uniform you did not play hard enough.
